As a Principal Commercial Officer, you will be you will be managing the commercial aspects of contracts and sub-contracts. This role will be involved in taking bids through the business approval process (LCM and Tender Vets). Your main responsibilities as a Principal Commercial Officer will involve: Providing Bids and Proposals into the MoD. Negotiating resulting contract offers. Ensuring flow down of Terms and Conditions to Sub Contractors. Managing and resolving customer queries and issues in areas of responsibility, escalating significant problems as appropriate. Developing and maintaining customer relationships, both internally and externally. Delivering commercial support and guidance to other functions. Managing the implementation of procedures and controls within the specified area to ensure compliance with commercial policies. Adopting clear understandings with suppliers of both technical and commercial issues to ensure that business arrangements minimise risk. Proposing and reviewing complex terms and conditions to ensure that BAE Systems Business interests are protected. Drafting detailed Agreements, including Purchase Orders, Enabling Agreements, Technical Assistance Agreements, Contracts, Sub-Contracts, amendments and Service Level Agreements. Understanding the financial and pricing requirements of commercial contracts Contributing to the development of others. Proactively identifying, managing and mitigating commercial risk.
